But you're the one who's always complaining when I describe temperature to you using the real system instead of that preposterous fahrenheit crap. How come this field gets a pass?
I demand that you be consistently outraged about everything.
I don't think it is irrelevant. One form of measurement is an organic development out of the cultural tradition. The other is a rationalistic attempt to overthrow that culture.
Metric is EVIL!!!
I'm amused by the hybrid system that has taken over American food packaging. It makes as much sense as measuring a car's torque output in meter-pounds.
